Social Media Week – a ” worldwide event exploring the social, cultural and economic impact of social media” – attracted many to Manhattan’s bustling city. Sitting on a panel titled “Money, News & Sex: Stories of Challenging 3 Industries” was Katie Orenstein, founder of The OpEd Project, and co-panelists Oonie Chase (MakeLoveNotPorn.com), and Jessica Jackley (co-founder of Kiva.org). Julie Burstein, founder of NPR’s Studio 360 and former OpEd seminar leader, moderated the discussion while posing some inquisitive questions.
