Amy Krause is co-founder of StyleSubstanceSoul, a dynamic blog “for women seeking world peace, food for thought and a really great pair of shoes.” Founded in 2006, StyleSubstanceSoul recently won a BlogHer Voices of the Year Award in the Op-Ed category. Kruse, an alum of The OpEd Project’s public seminar on voice and mattering, “Write to Change the World”, not long ago blogged about the day’s experience. In her post, she muses about the throbbing urgency that inspires us to remember our voice. She exclaims that when that voice surfaces, we should not silence it by pushing it to the back of our throats. Write! Krause calls on us to write:
“But I am now calling all of you, with the same exhilaration and enthusiasm . . .. we have to start writing Op Eds . . . we have something to say . . . . .we have to be part of the conversation . . . we have to pave the way and set a good example for our daughters! And you must, if at all possible, participate in an Op-Ed Project seminar.”
We are, of course, grateful for the kind words she had to share on the seminar, the cohort, and the leaders. Read the rest of the post on StyleSubstanceSoul by clicking on the image below.
