A Happy Anecdote

Guest Post by OEP Facilitator Holly Kearl

Just a happy anecdote to share about having a public voice:

Thanks to the recent media frenzy about street harassment, the publisher of my first book reached out this week to see if I would be interested in updating my book on street harassment that came out more than 4 years ago. When I suggested I just write a new book instead because I have tons of material, she said, “yes, great idea!” Tentatively the book will trace what has happened with the anti-street harassment movement during the last 5 years — and so much has.

I was not pursuing another book deal, but I love writing – especially about street harassment! – so I am very excited. If I can turn it around in the next 2-3 months, it will come out in the summer.
