We are thrilled to be back in Seattle for The OpEd Project’s first public program of 2016.
Today’s seminar brought together entrepreneurs, activists, doctors, artists and non-profit leaders from around the Seattle, Portland and Vancouver,BC. These brilliant minds are shaping the conversation around a wide range of topics, such as health equity at universities, combatting the demand for prostitution, how we handle environmental crisis — and much more. We can’t wait to see the change and impact brought about by their voices, in the Pacific Northwest and far beyond.
We were joined today by Dr. Gina Neff, an Associate Professor of Communication and a Senior Data Science Fellow in the eScience Institute at the University of Washington. Dr. Neff studies the contemporary economics of media production and the political economy of communication by examining the relationship between work and technology in high-tech and media industries.
A special thanks to our partners at The Pioneer Collective for hosting the seminar in Seattle today.
